Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I be there?

To experience the full effect of the chase, we recommend arriving at least one hour before start time. Robbers start 60 seconds ahead of cops, then the chase is on.

When does the chase start?

Robbers start at 9:00 AM, and cops are released 60 seconds later. Every second counts in this chase!

Is this a timed run?

The Cops and Robbers Run is focused on providing a fun and exciting experience. We won’t be tracking your time, but if you’d like to, there will be a time clock visible at the finish line.

Should I be a cop or a robber?

Robbers are playful, daring types who enjoy adventure and excitement. You start with a tag belt (your entries into our awesome prize drawing) and a 60 second head start. Avoid those cops, you’ll finish with tags in hand and the satisfaction of a successful heist.

Cops are competitive, determined and ready for a challenge. You start with 0 tags, but have the chance to grab as many robbers’ tags as you can before the finish. A 60 second head start can’t hold you back.

What should I wear?

Robbers, we’ll get your costume started with an undercover eye mask. From there, you complete your character - a ball and chain, a jumpsuit, maybe a ski cap - you get the idea.

Cops, we’ll get you started with only the finest in faux mustaches. Will you up the ante with aviators, handcuffs, maybe a fade? We can’t wait to see your best Starsky or Hutch.

Are toy weapons allowed?

The Cops and Robbers Run is a family-friendly event, and safety is our top priority. With that in mind, no weapons - real or fake - will be tolerated.

Tell me more about the course obstacles. What should I expect?

The Cops and Robbers Run course is created to simulate the feel of a getaway/street chase. Course effects will include music, sound effects and smoke. Our obstacles will include a police "check point", where police randomly delay runners prior to the finish, and a crime scene, which will include a narrowed course and additional delay tactics. Overall, our goal is to create a fun, entertaining course for all participants. We don't get into obstacles that are in any way dangerous, strenuous or dirty.

Can I run with my dog?

We love all pups, but this is not the run for them. Given the tag-like element of this chase, allowing dogs on the race course could create dangerous obstacles for humans, and an unsafe environment for your dog.

Can I run with a stroller?

Although strollers can create awesome decoys in a heist, we’d ask that you leave yours at home, or at the finish line with a friend.

Do I have to run?

While the Cops and Robbers Run is not timed, it is a tag-style chase in which cops will be on the hunt for robbers’ tags, so running will help you stay in the chase. That being said, you’re free to walk, skip, or jump your way to the finish.

How can my brand have a presence at the event?

Partnering with Cops and Robbers Run is a marketing experience like no other. Our partnership team will create a customized package based on your marketing objectives that weaves your brand and/or product(s) into the fabric of this one-of-a-kind event.
